Early morning after your breakfast at the hotel, we begin our journey with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Sankhu village in our private vehicle. Sankhu is an ancient Newari town located in the north-eastern corner of Kathmandu Valley and is about 17 km from the capital city. After arriving, we start to stroll through the traditional Newari settlements and ruins, narrow streets, public squares, temples, old houses, woodcarving windows, stone water taps, rest houses and traditional houses whilst looking at the smiling faces of local people. After taking our time to explore a little part of Sankhu and its people, we make our way to the trails that goes through the holy river named Salinadi and following the trails we ascend towards the jungle. We reach Nagarkot viewpoint while enjoying and clicking pictures of the picturesque forests, hills, green terrace fields and distant villages on the way. Magnificent panoramic views of glittering mountains including Mt.Everest, Gaurishankar, Dorje Lakpa, Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Annapurna, and Dhaulagiri await us on a clear day. We enjoy the surrounding beauty and wait for the most beautiful sunset view from the hilltop. After admiring the glorious sunset views over the mountains and making enough never forgetting memories, we retrace back down to catch our vehicle for a drive back to Kathmandu. After a few hour drive from Nagarkot via Bhaktapur, we arrive at Kathmandu valley and drop you at your hotel which is the ending point of our journey. This short hike is a perfect opportunity to escape from hustle and bustle of Kathmandu city and relax in natural beauty full of lush green hills, panoramic view of shiny mountains and ancient civilization.

Optional: You can choose to extend your package and spend a night in any of the beautiful resorts of Nagarkot. We can return to Kathmandu the next day after viewing the eye-catching sunrise in the morning.
