Considered to be one of the best hiking destinations near the valley, Nagarjun hill also known as Jamacho peak by the locals is situated in the Northwest side of Kathmandu. A popular viewpoint for getting the majestic views of snow peaked mountains like; Ganesh himal range and Langtang range, this hike is a perfect quick and short escape into the peaceful environment. Starting with a short drive to Phulbari gate, this hike takes you past several pine, rhododendron forest, small caves and buddhist stupas along the way. You also get to visit a cave on the way where a famous Buddhist saint is said to have meditated in the past. Once you make it to the top of Nagarjun hill, you can get panoramic views of Ganesh Himal and Langtang Himal range along with lush green hills and Kathmandu valley below. There is a peaceful serene environment around the area making this place a perfect location to perform yoga and meditation.

Early in the morning you'll be picked up in a private vehicle from your hotel. After the pick-up we'll have a short 20 min drive to Fulbari. Our real hike begins from here as we start walking in a forested trail passing through several rhododendron and pine forest along the way. Our oath also takes us through various Buddhist gompas and caves on the way. After walking for around 2-3 hours, we reach the top of Nagarjun hill from where panoramic views of several snow-capped mountains can be seen. After spending some time in the calm environment as we enjoy the majestic views of mountains and green hills all around, we'll get ready to hike down to our starting point. We then drive back to Kathmandu where you'll be dropped off at your hotel.
