We start our hiking journey towards Chisapani early in the morning as we pick you up from your hotel and drive towards Sundarijal which is 15 kilometers northeast of central Kathmandu valley and is a popular hangout and picnic spot. Our trek starting point, Sundarijal is also a gorgeous place full of water resources and is the main source of drinking water for Kathmandu Valley. Leaving Sundarijal water reservoirs and tanks behind, we walk through the boundaries of Shivapuri National Park which is covered by tall trees, flowing streams, varieties of flora and fauna and dense rhododendron and oak forest. After a few uphills ascend through the well-labeled hiking trails, we reach the Chisapani viewpoint from where we get to view the majestic range of snow-capped Himalayas from Langtang to Gaurishankar range. We spend our time enjoying the view and creating memories. After admiring the view and clicking enough pictures, we bid farewell and look back at the glittering distant view one last time. Then we trace our steps back from the same way following the same trails. We pass by the mixed settlements of Brahmin, Gurung and Sherpa communities while looking at beautiful picturesque villages and smiling at the local people. We reach down after a few hours walk and catch our vehicle waiting for us and return back to Kathmandu. After a drive for an hour, we drop you at your hotel where you can take a rest after a long day of the hike.
Optional: You can choose to extend your hike for a day and spend a night in Chisapani. We can return back to Kathmandu the next day by hiking through Nagarkot.
