Namobuddha day hiking is one of the easiest hikes around the valley situated 45 km southeast of Kathmandu between Banepa and Panauti. Located at the top of the hill at an elevation of 1750m, this hike takes you to a significant Buddhist pilgrimage; Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery. The hike begins with a short ride to Dhulikhel, a famous hiking viewpoint from where you start the real walk. Taking you to the peaceful environment and colorful prayer flags around the stupa, this hike passes through several small settlements of Newari and Tamang ethnicities showcasing the lifestyle and culture of Nepali countryside villages. You can get 360-degree views of several mountain ranges like; Langtang, Gaurishankar, Manaslu & Mahalangur, etc during this hike. Along with the majestic mountain views, you also get to visit some ancient monasteries and temples that are; Namo Buddha stupa, Indreshwar Mahadev temple, Brahmayani temple, etc. A short getaway to the pleasant surroundings, this hike is perfect for refreshment and tranquility.

Early in the morning you'll be picked up in a private vehicle from your hotel. After the pick-up we'll have a short 1 hr drive to Dhulikhel which is a famous hiking and viewpoint of various mountain ranges from where our real hike begins. From dhulikhel, our path takes us through several farms, forests and small settlements along the way. We can witness the local culture and lifestyle of Newari and Tamang ethnicities on our way to Namobuddha. After walking for around 3-4 hrs, we'll reach the top of the hill where Namobuddha is situated. Once we reach the top, we can get panoramic views of Langtang, Manaslu, Gaurishankar and Mahalangur ranges. We'll also visit the famous Buddhist pilgrimage Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery along with several other temples like;Indreshwar Mahadev and Brahmayani temple, etc. After exploring the surrounding of Namobuddha while relishing the peaceful serene environment, we'll hike down to Dhulikhel and drive back to Kathmandu. You'll be dropped off to your hotel after our arrival in Kathmandu.
Optional: If you want then we can extend the hike and spend the night in Namobuddha monastery and explore the Panauti village on our way back on the second day.
