Our hike to Balthali village begins with an early morning scenic ride to Panauti village which is in the eastern part of Kathmandu valley. After an hour of driving, we reach Panauti village which is a famous ancient Newar community settlement village and is also an important place for Hindu religious people. We first hike towards the temple of Indreshwor Mahadev which dates back to the thirteenth century and explore it for some time. After gaining some cultural insight, we pass through the old streets of the Panauti village while looking at the locals and their daily life. We then slowly arrive at the open green fields of Khopasi which are so beautiful to view as they are well-cultivated with varieties of crops like rice, potatoes, paddy, etc all year round making the surrounding environment picturesque and serene. After looking at the scenic views of Khopasi, we hike towards our final destination, Balthali for a few hours passing through scenic villages, terraced fields and green forests. We then reach the famous Balthali village and walk to a beautiful resort on a hilltop to enjoy the majestic snow-capped mountain view along with pleasing village scenery. We spend our time roaming around, clicking pictures and making memories in this place filled with eye-catching scenery for a few hours. We then bid farewell to Balthali village as we retrace our steps back the same way we came up. Upon reaching the roadways, we catch our vehicle waiting for us and return back to Kathmandu hotel ending the beautiful day hike to Balthali village.
